How did you meet?

We met on New Year's Day in 2018 at Buffalo Wild Wings. I was excited and nervous to meet Jess because she was pretty awesome and beautiful. We had been texting for a month and there was a special connection, so I didn't want to mess it up.

What was your first impression of Jess?

When I met Jess, I thought she was very goofy and outgoing with a warm soul. I also quickly realized that she's not a big fan of bone-in chicken wings and terrible movies, but we still managed to have a great first date and the rest is history.

What is your favorite memory of Jess?

My favorite memory of Jess is when she met my parents in Mexico and I got to show her where I'm from and where I grew up. She had a fantastic time. We saw my parent's ranch animals, went on hikes, and ate a lot of my favorite Mexican food and snacks. 

What is your favorite way of spending time together?

Jess and I love to go on adventures, watch soccer in the morning and hang out together on the couch, cook, and randomly dance. 

How did you get engaged?

We got engaged in Laguna Beach on Tuesday, January 31st. We started the day with breakfast in San Clemente and then walked on the boardwalk and hung out on the sand. She really wanted to try the pier restaurant for lunch so we got 2 kinds of shrimp and Pina Coladas. She loves Pina Coladas and food, so it was going great. In the evening, I took her to Laguna Beach. The evening was perfect and the sunset exactly what I was hoping for. After relaxing on the rocks, we started walking by the water and I dropped down on one knee. She was so happy she cried.

¿Cómo se conocieron?

Nos conocimos el día de Año Nuevo de 2018 en Buffalo Wild Wings. Estaba emocionado y nervioso por conocer a Jess porque era bastante asombrosa y hermosa. Nos habíamos estado enviando mensajes de texto durante un mes y había una conexión especial, así que no quería estropearlo.

¿Cuál fue tu primera impresión de Jess?

Cuando conocí a Jess, pensé que era muy bromista y extrovertida con un alma muy tierna. También me di cuenta rápidamente de que ella no es una gran fanática de las alitas de pollo con hueso y malas películas, pero aun así logramos tener una gran primera cita y el resto es historia.

¿Cuál es tu recuerdo favorito de Jess?

Mi recuerdo favorito de Jess es cuando conoció a mis padres en México y pude mostrarle de dónde soy y dónde crecí. La pasó fantástico. Vimos los animales de mis padres, hicimos caminatas y comimos muchas de mis comidas y bocadillos mexicanos favoritos.

¿Cuál es tu forma favorita de pasar tiempo juntos?

Jess y yo amamos vivir aventuras, ver fútbol por la mañana y pasar el rato juntos en el sofá, cocinar y bailar al azar.

¿Cómo te comprometiste?

Nos comprometimos en Laguna Beach el martes 31 de Enero. Comenzamos el día con un desayuno en San Clemente y luego caminamos por el malecón y pasamos el rato en la arena. Ella realmente quería probar el restaurante del muelle para el almuerzo, así que conseguimos 2 tipos de camarones y piñas coladas. Le encantan las piñas coladas y la comida, así que todo iba genial. Por la tarde, la llevé a Laguna Beach. La tarde fue perfecta y la atardecer era exactamente lo que esperaba. Después de relajarnos en las rocas, comenzamos a caminar junto al agua y me arrodillé. Estaba tan feliz que lloró.
